Corporal Adam M. Wolfel Memorial Scholarship
U.S. Marine Corporal Adam M. Wolfel was born in 1991 in St. Marys, PA the son of Michael and Jane Ritter Wolfel, brother of Amanda and father of his son Poston. He graduated from St. Marys Area High School in 2009 and joined the U.S. Marine Corps as a rifleman and machine gunner. Adam’s natural leadership qualities were evident throughout his deployments to Marjah, Afghanistan and Okinawa, Japan. He was honorably discharge in October 2013 as a decorated corporal. The family and friends established the Corporal Adam M. Wolfel Memorial Scholarship fund to honor Adam’s memory with this “forever” scholarship. This scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from an Elk County High School that will be attending a post-secondary education program and/or certificate program for a technical trade. Applications are available through the guidance office at all schools.
